Seeing that Ultra Music Festival has mesmerized EDM fans in 185 countries, it is time to speak about why festivals matter and why should you go!
However, a bit background: I'm a music festival addict to your bone. I can't get enough. I attended Vans Warped Tour being a young punk rocker in senior high school and in college, and also other day-long music festivals, mostly in the punk and alternative genre. The punk scene am popular with me as a pre-teen and beyond as it had this unique feeling of unity and empowerment. I felt like I totally belonged. I wasn't weird for producing my own, personal clothes or fighting in my rights as well as the rights of others. I must say i felt like I can make a positive improvement in the world. And I wasn't alone. Punk wasn't about lying down and taking it simply because bad situations are "going that occurs anyway." For me, and others, it had been about taking a stand, fighting back, and bringing people together, regardless of how different.
Then Bonnaroo happened. I did heard rumours from the modern-Woodstock and i also knew I needed to take a look. A few my close guy friends were going and I quickly claimed a location into their car with the 17+ hour drive to Manchester, TN during the warm months of 2011.
It changed everything.
After Bonnaroo I came to be involved with electronic dance music, or EDM. This meant I HAD to attend Ultra Music Festival in Miami, Fl this year. Turned out to be a life-changing choice because I fell crazy about my boyfriend there that year! This festival was special also which is strictly EDM, every artist, every stage. Beyond this concept I'd been an overall addict attending any festival I could afford like Electric
Daisy Carnival The big apple, Camp Bisco, Electric Zoo, ASOT600NYC(and MIA) and then any individual DJ that comes around.

Once you know about EDM then you know it possesses a unifying effect unlike any other type of music. Individuals are so open to all you could are. Simply can't be weird, even when you tried. Chicago-born DJ Kaskade had this to state in response to an LA Times article slamming the rave scene "... Know this: with regards to a music culture goes, EDM will be the an individual that encourage your children on the outliers, individuals get bullied, those feel as if they may not quite easily fit into. This community is outstanding in the capability to bond all types together, and i'm not exaggerating when i state it saves lives. Our audience is intelligent and type, discriminating only when it comes to which sound they like best. Our audience is unprecedented within their drive to proactively support the other."
People check out these EDM festivals holding up signs saying "Everyone here loves you!" as well as the musicians enter about the love finding really beautiful approaches to interact with their audience through their whole set. Here's a picture of the trance duo Above & Beyond at Ultra Music Festival for an example:
The number of places on the globe help you feel so loved and welcome? It is really the start a universal community using this program . so happy and proud to be a part of it. EDM has change my life and I we imagine you interact!
